ABOUT MISSION POSSIBLE

“She’s a human dynamo who wants to take some to heaven
with her, as she promulgates the gospel through counseling, life coaching, training, living, loving,
caring and giving—food to the hungry, clothes to the needy, helping those in prison, helping the
hurting and the oppressed.”

- Dr. Frederick Sampson
A leader in the National Baptist Convention USA

Our office at 2400 Poplar has been our home since 1980. It is centrally located and in reach of the total Memphis community.

Our History

Mission Possible is a Christian based Outreach 501c3 non-profit entity organized in 1980 after Ms. Thelma Nelms. Thanks to a group of friends, postal and federal co-workers who had labored long in prayer.

Our goal is to provide guidance, counseling, basic life coaching and training for the poor and affluent in seminars and retreats focusing on workplace and family issues. Some of our current training efforts are Counseling, Anger Management and Violence Prevention.

We are grateful for the God given opportunity to serve the Memphis community: by providing Christian based counseling to the emotionally distressed, food and clothing to the indigent, assistance to widows, seniors and youth, and confidential guidance to leaders. In 2017 we provided over 9,000 services. In 2018, we responded to 7,000 calls to provide to the needy, poor and hurting. We provided 10, 852 services in 2019. In 2020-2023 we were able to double those numbers from 2019. We are expecting greater in 2024. There are 44 million people in need which touches every community including our own.
